Ladakh, India.

Yak skulls left out to dry in the sun under a chorten with prayer stones in the compound of a house in the valley of Ulley. Yak meat is a staple in Ladakhi diet. Ulley Valley is a valley with a scattered village of only 5 houses, one school, 38 people, 4 school children, and 4 pet dogs. The village is not accessible by road.
