Shanno, 24, is 9 months pregnant with her 4th child as she stands for a portrait at the door of her rented house in a slum in Tonk, Rajasthan, India, on 20th June 2012. Shanno was married at the age of 17 and has had 4 successive pregnancies which affected her health and her children's health because she was unable to breastfeed them and was too poor to raise them properly. She had also given one of her sons to her sister at birth. She had also given one of her sons to her sister at birth.
