Sita Tharu, 14, is six months pregnant as she poses for a portrait in Bhaishahi village, Bardia, Western Nepal, on 29th June 2012. Sita eloped and married last year at 13 and is now 6 months pregnant. She says she's very afraid of the birth and its possible complications. In Bardia, StC works with the district health office to build the capacity of female community health workers who are on the frontline of health service provision like ante-natal and post-natal care, and working together against child marriage and teenage pregnancy especially in rural areas.
