Chabad Mumbai, India for Purim.

Shochet Elkana Shapurkar (aged 37) puts tefillin in his one room home near the docks of Mumbai, India. Elkana lived in Jerusalem from 1995-2002 and served as a medical doctor in the Israeli army. He married a Cochin (indian) jew when he returned to India in 2002. His shochet certification was done in Israel. He also gives tours of the old jewish sectors of Mumbai and Cochin. Wife, Ellana (aged 35) works with a travel agency. Their dream for their son, Yedediya (2yrs 4 mths old) is to be a Rabbi.
